‘The Muppet Show‘ Features Content Warning and Missing Episodes on Disney+. The Muppets fans have been very excited to hear The Muppet Show was coming to Disney+, but it seems several episodes have either had a content warning added to them before the episode plays or have been removed all together from the streaming service. The content warning states:
“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people of cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.
Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe.

The content warning was specifically added to an episode featuring Johnny Cash who performed for the show in front of a Confederate Flag as a backdrop and is the same content warning found in front of several Disney films including The Aristocats, Peter Pan, Dumbo, and The Swiss Family Robinson.
As for the missing episodes, it appears only 100 or so of the 120 episodes in the series are available to stream and several streamable episodes have various performances and songs that have been removed depending on which country you reside in. With many episodes missing content in the UK versions of Disney+.
The 2 missing episodes in the US are the Brooke Shields episode due to copyright issues & Chris Langham for being arrested.
All 5 seasons of The Muppet Show, save the few episodes that have been removed from the series, are now available to stream on Disney+.
