I’ve not seen this movie since it’s 2003 release and have fond memories of watching it as a child. So I was scared to revisit it in 2020 in case it wasn’t as good as I remembered.
But I’m so glad I did. The comedy actually holds up still. It never took itself too seriously in the first place. Bean’s one liners are still hilarious. The acting is over the top But that’s what made it so enjoyable.
I love how the movie manages to keep all the side characters relevant instead of focusing solely on the family.
Admittedly, I’m not sure how kids would feel about it today. But if you’re from that era, and a fan of the show, it’s a great dose of nostalgia.
