Another stork has landed as a new baby pony is born at Disney’s Tri- Circle D Ranch! Meet the new colt (boy) shetland pony named Patches, born to mum Fancy at Disney’s Tri- Circle D Ranch as announced by Dr. Mark Penning on Instagram yesterday! What adorable family and we are so pleased to hear that Patches is healthy and loving life in the sun! Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment broke the news on his Instagram page, showing a close up photo firstly of Patches and then Patches alongside his mum Fancy! Check out the adorable welcome post below!

It is simply wonderful to see new additions at the recently renovated Tri- Circle D Ranch, which can be found at Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. However, this is not the first foal to be born at the ranch.

Back in June 2020, Violet was born, becoming the first ever foal to join the ranch! Violet was born to Elsa her mum!

Only recently in January of this year, another foal was born named Obie! This wonderful, plucky foal joins the other 28 horses at the ranch and he has the most wonderfully, magical future as he will join his sister, Lilly, and their father, in pulling Cinderella’s pumpkin coach in parades and Disney’s Fairytale Weddings throughout the resort!

We are so grateful to have an upclose and personal look at the new baby pony born at Tri- Circle D Ranch, revealed by Dr. Mark Penning! We can also see from his post, that both Patches and Obie will start spending more time near guests at the Ranch to acclimatise them around humans- so make sure you check them out the next time you go to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!
